Yay! Our Air Shipment is here!

Hallelujah! Our Air shipment has arrived. When you're moving internationally, most of your belongings are sent to your destination via ship. This process can take 6-8 weeks (or longer depending on customs) so Jon's company also provides us with a much smaller air shipment that arrives more quickly.

This is a post I wrote on what we packed in our air shipment for our move from Houston to Aberdeen. And here is another I wrote when it arrived. Moving with a baby requires a whole different set of priorities. So what did we make sure to pack this time?

Baby entertainment items such as Forest’s activity mat and his exersaucer.

Even more important baby items in the air shipment were our folding changing table and our invaluable BOB stroller!

Also, our tommee tippee diaper trash can.
OMG we missed this! We’ve been using just a flimsy bathroom trashcan and it fills up every day and makes his “nursery” stink!

Changing diapers will be much more pleasant now with a changing table and diaper genie. Other than baby items, we also packed our crock pot, coffee maker, hiking gear, TV trays, and additional clothes.
Only about 1 more month until we get the rest of our belongings, but other than his crib and our bed, I really feel like we now have most of what we need to survive. One thing I can say about moving so frequently is that you totally re-evaluate your possessions and how inconsequential most of them are. But for sure I was missing my changing table, BOB stroller, and crock pot bad. Real bad. Desert Island bad. Bad enough to give them all a big ole smooch when they were safely delivered back into my arms.

  1. WAHOO!! The BOB is amazing. I think I would kiss mine too if it was gone for weeks.

  2. Employing moving companies to help together with your international shipping needs can make about as much sense because hiring friends to help together with your office relocation. Eshipper
