Muddy Photoshoot = Fun for Everyone

One of my favorite things in the new house is testing out the lighting in various rooms.
I've already showed y'all how I had fun in the pretty bonus attic room upstairs, but the morning light in the sunroom is just to die for. The other day Forest was lounging on the sofa in there with his adorable KicKee Pants pjs and (I may be a smidge biased) he looked so stinkin adorable that I just couldn't pass up the opportunity to snap a few dozen photos.

He quickly tired of modeling and took his show on the road to play in the backyard. I was just reading in the sunroom when I noticed he was covered in mud. I could have totally freaked and stripped him naked right then and there but since the damage was already done I decided just to grab my camera and roll with it.

Once he was fully submerged in muck I carried his naked tooshie straight to the tub where I discovered that his bathroom has quite lovely light as well.

Another room I love is the dark and cozy office which is great for editing. It also offers some surprisingly photogenic afternoon light which i can't wait to experiment with soon.

Still Blogging

Just a quick note to say that I am still blogging...sort of. I haven't quite gotten a routine/schedule down yet and since my only uninterrupted free time comes in the form of a 60 minute nap from Forest, there is usually a lot that needs to get done in that hour long respite. Plus, with Jonathan being home more it's a pretty big distraction as well. I've taken to banishing him to taking a nap when Forest sleeps too, just so I have some peace and quiet during my day.

Jonathan is not complaining about having to nap so it works out. Anyhoos, I'm sure I will figure it out and hopefully get back to writing and posting somewhat regularly. Until then, here are some sweet pictures from our gorgeous wooden attic room. We still have no idea how we're going to use the space but for now I'm having fun practicing taking silhouette shots.
